Frome is a market town with a charming historic centre and more listed buildings than anywhere else in the region. It is the fourth largest town in Somerset, with a population of approx 27,000, and has plenty to offer within the town and in the surrounding area.
Founded in the seventh century, the older part remains relatively unaffected by expansion, with some streets still cobbled and many of the buildings dating from the 1700s.
The town offers a wide variety of shops, many of them independent and specialist, as well as national chains, cafes, restaurants and the Artisan Market.
